Ashtons first day of BIG school

Today was such an exciting day for us, our first child was hitting the big world! I was so glad Neil was able to take the morning off to share this experience with us. Naturally as soon as I got the chance I became the paparazzi...

Once we got to school Ashton started to rethink his choice of hat, He had choosen to buy the "Indiana Jones style" hat rather than the Base Ball Cap. He looked in the playground and nobody had their hat on, the bell hadn't gone.. no teachers.. who wears a hat! Neil reassured him that it was fine not to wear it if he didn't want to... buy the end of the day he had ripped the string off it and we haven't heard any more complaints since... we'll see how long it takes before he asks us to buy him the cap!

As for me I was tough I didn't cry.. much! he he Well at least I stopped crying before any other parents and children arrived! It was pretty overwhelming but I was ok... again grateful Neil was there... My Rock!

Emma started on the same day. They are in rooms next door to each other, so they get to see each other every now and then during class time.

When we were escorted to our rooms we were thrilled to Meet Ashton's 'Male' teacher.

When Ashton saw him he turned to me and said,

"Oh cool his a man! You can go now mum, he will help me if I need something!"

How cute and how sad he doesn't need me anymore... well at least till we get home again...

I am so grateful for my brave little.. I mean Big boy! We look forward to many more exciting school days to come... Logan has already asked when she can buy a uniform!

7 Years Today

Wow today is our anniversary. We have been married for 7years now and oh boy it has just flown by! I really wanted to blog today and recognise this special day.

I am so grateful for Neil in my life. He is such a hard working person. He loves the lord so much and always gives his 100% to serve him. He is such a lovely husband and a great father. I am grateful for the blessings we have had. Our 3 beautiful children have brought us so much joy!

Today also Neil attended his last class for his Law degree.. He still has a few exams but I cant believe after so long his studies are over and and he is enjoying his profession. I am thrilled with the new adventures come. I look forward to the coming years together... I love you babe!

Many people, mainly my mum complain that they haven't seen our wedding photos... I have scanned some I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed reminiscing!

Dearest Baby Noah,

You have been such a joy in our family. Let me tell you a bit about what you have been upto... From day one you have been a placid. You used to sleep so much!

Now you do still love a little noni, but waking up at night and pulling mummies hair and scratching daddies face seems like much more fun than sleep!

You produce the cutest smiles, you always cheer me up when I'm feeling down.
You love our crazy noisy home.. always bouncing up and down, cheering your siblings on as they race around destroying the house with mummy in hot pursuit.

When you wake up in the morning Logan is the first to run to you singing you songs and giving you toys to suck on. She loves to play mums and babies... so i often find you wrapped in blankets with logan fussing over you!

Ashton loves to teach you things he brings you toys, and reads you books. He trys to teach you words, so far your means of communicating has been a fake rough cough.. and when someone responds coughing back, you are thrilled bouncing up and down coughing.

Ashton says "Noah and I will be palientologist together and go on adventures finding dinosaurs!... but he has to stop drinking mum-mums first!"

The Other day as your daddy came through the door, home from work ,you looked up and said "Dadda dadda..." You sure know how to make your daddy Melt!
He was thrilled with his clever boy.

You don't really like mushed food you love to be able to hold it and throw it if the need arises. You are Mr independent always trying to do things on your own.

Even if at most of the time, you have no idea!

You are now sitting so confidently and when I turn around you are in a different spot. Not crawling yet but one heck of a wriggler.

Tinkerbell is your good friend she loves to snuggle up to you.

She doesn't mind when you pull her hair or her tail as long as she gets a little scratch.

You love talking to the little boy in the mirror, he is as cute as you are!

My favourite one of your gestures, is the pat on the back you give me every time i give you a cuddle. So friendly, so cute!

It has Been too long! I am so sorry Ricky and Gillian have been telling me to blog. As you can see since Noah arrived, time and sleep have not been very kind! Not that Noah isn't a great sleeper but along with Logan and Ashton's night terrors.. and Noah feeding.. my head is spinning and about ready to pass out any minute! :-)
.. but just because I haven't been blogging doesn't mean I haven't been snap happy.. I have tones of photos that I'm just going to pop up here I hope you enjoy them and they get you through your work day (Gill!)... since its already 11.15pm I'll put some up today and some tomorrow... I hope! ;-)

Noah is growing so much, At birth he was a big baby and now he is just growing at such speed! Its heard to believe he is a new born! He looked to big for a baby blessing more like a 6mth old with not much body control! he he We waited for my parents to get back from Arg. So his blessing was on the 5th of April. It was so lovely to see Neil and the men in m family holding our precious little boy. I'm so grateful for the priesthood in my life! I'm grateful that my children will grow up with the priesthood in their home. We had our large family attend along with many close friends. our poor chapel was busting at the seams! It was a lovely meeting.

Noah Mario Kevin Kirby

The nine months at long last is over and our newest baby has finally arrived. Noah Mario Kevin Kirby. Labour was 8hrs of agony weighing in at 4.2kilos/9.3pounds, well worth the pain! Neil and Mum were wonderful so patient and loving I really appreciate their support! Noah arrived 8.37am.. ensuring for sure that my parents would miss their flight to Argentina at 9am. Crazy! A big sacrifice from two very loving Parents/Grandparents who would not leave the country until I had given birth.

Noah has been a joy since his arrival so calm and precious. He and Neil have bonded well. He is so cute with his new son. So far he is my first Aussie looking child. Definitely a Kirby. His eyes are blue, I know this can change but as for skin and features Kirby Kirby Kirby...

Ashton and Logan are just thrilled to have a new baby brother. Ashton has requested two more another boy and a girl... hmm we'll have to see about that!

Logan has become my little helper. she takes the nappies to the bin, she holds him when I'm getting my self ready. She is constantly kissing him and looking after him with blankets and toys. She is just so beautiful. The signs of a great mummy to be!

Noah is named after his grandfathers or as we call them Lelo and Poppy.. Mario and Kevin. Two wonderful men with hearts bigger than the planet. They each are so loving and caring always willing to help in any way. Their grand kids are nuts about them and they play the grandad role perfectly! Neil and I are so grateful to have them in our lives and in the lives of our children, We love them to pieces!

I haven't been on the computer for a long time! So much has been happening but as always, I have had my camera with me to snap the happy shots!! Neil has Finished uni for the year.. I still don't see him as much as I would like because now he has started full time with the firm. Its all good though I steal him when i get a chance!! Above is a recent self taken picture of us at darling harbour, just after Neils work Christmas party at the Hilton Hotel a real lovely night. We got to bed around three not a good idea when your as big as i am with children who don't believe on sleeping in... Still it was worth every moment!

We have had some crazy months, some very scary weeks and some fun days and, as the days progress... so does my belly, it is getting so HUGE! we only have 1 month, 2 weeks and 4 days left.. not that I'm counting he he seriously though this has been the fastest pregnancy so far! i guess because we had so many babies due before me and now with Christmas so close it will only go faster!

In Oct Ashton participated in his first Primary Presentation... He was so cute he knew his part.. "The scriptures teach us about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ" he spoke loud and didn't need any help... as for me yes... tears in my eyes, they are growing up so fast!!!

Spring has finally arrived and WOW so has the heat! The kids have had a blast playing outside on the trampoline, with their tents and of course with water! After purchasing these large buckets for washing, we decided to trial them out as mini pools.. well the results were awesome the children played in these for well over an hour. and they just looked adorable! Fun days ahead I love the summer... but its gonna be a hot one! I'm going to have to purchase a super sized bucket to fit me and my belly in!! he he he

Oh my today i got to meet my new little nephew... Jeshua Jonathan Caballero... the kids have already nick named him Jes! What a lovely experience to spend time with my big brothers first born! He is such a divine little thing. He looks like a miniature Mario.

I was so thrilled to see Portia and Gab with their precious gift from God. I have waited for Gaby to experience this Miracle and Joy and to see him with, tiny... yet very chubby, Jeshua just touched me immensely.

I love my brother so so much I am grateful for this blessing in his life. He is a wonderful man with so much love and joy to give. I look forward to seeing him raise this little boy and the love and laughter they will bring into our lives. He already is a great father.. and now he gets to have his own 'mini me' ...I'm so happy for him!

Natty birthday party was a big hit Ashton went as Ben Ten and Logan dressed in her fairy outfit her Noni gave her for her birthday. Natti went as Optimus Prime.. of course our kids are all transformer CRAZY! They had a wonderful time running around on the Delgados new turf, jumping on the jumping castle and playing lots of games. The most fun though was the pinata... that unfortunately was made of cement, nobody could break it thank goodness Shantelle, Natties big sister jumped in to save the day.. lollies for everyone.. even me! Happy No.4 Nathaniel!

Dancing away the Rain! ..... Aug 18th

It's been so cold and wet the last few weeks, Justine Clark has a great CD to take away rainy day blues.. Ashton and Logan always break out into dance when She is being played but on this particular cold Aug day they decided to dance with their umbrellas. Angela gave them these umbrellas some time ago and they are often used as inside props! As long as its fun and safe I'm all for it!

THE DINOSAURS ARE HERE!!!

Those who know Ashton, know that he is crazy, crazy about dinosaurs!! So you can imagine his excitement when Tia Monica told him the dinosaurs had arrived at the Australian Museum.. for months he had been asking to visit the museum. I was a little worried because for a while there his favourite movie was "A Night At The Museum". I was concerned his expectations might be the same, but after much discussion he understood that the dinosaurs would not come to life and was happy to still visit.

The day was great. The museum was very hands on, everyone had a blast. Logan kept saying "ook, ook"Fascinated with everything she saw.

The first dinosaur we encountered was the Brontosaurus... Ash demonstrates his long neck

When we hit the dinosaur exhibition I have never seen Ashton's eyes move so fast from one spot to the next... it was hard to keep up with him. We spent a good while there looking at fossils, Dino skeletons, teeth, claws... unreal!!! They had a large projector with a reenactment of a fight that took place in QLD hundreds of years ago. Ashton had to watch it twice!!

One corner was called the lab you could create your on dinosaurs on a computer, Dig for fossils, read dinosaur books and examine a large plaster of a mountain where they found bones, claws and fossils they had this expedition on a slide show.. pretty fascinating!! Ashton says he wants to dig up dinosaurs when he is bigger... I keep trying to teach him the title 'Paleontologist' after all he has to learn to say it before he can be it!

Ashton's favourite dinosaur is the T.Rex (what 4 year old boy's isn't!) so when we hit the carnivores GRRRR lots of fun until...

...Until Mr REX tried to eat Ash! AHHHHH run for your life!!!!

The Museum also offered a kids spot where there where various stations to explore. Insects, feathers, stories, dinosaurs, magnifying glass, under the sea, and drawing... Logan went straight to the drawing... guess where Ashton played??

Like I said.. DINOSAUR CRAZY!!

The Phantom of The Opera

Finally the time had come. We bought front row tickets some time ago and we were very excited to attend. This is the second time Phantom hits Sydney shores. I was in high school last time and it was our first Musical. Wow the impact was so great that we become Crazy for musicals, well I know I did.

So the night was a bit of a reunion, with our spouses added and our adopted siblings Pete and Hayley. We had dinner at the casino and with full bellies.. some too full... Neil! We were off to see the show and it was Amazing!!

We had all Lead cast which means Anthony Warlow!! And I have to say this man gave me goose bumps as he sung! He was amazing well deserving of our standing ovation! Of course my other favourites were Christine Daee' (Ana Marina) and Carlotta (Andrea Cerighton) These women can REALLY hit a note!!

For those who have not seen it.. it is a must for all walks of life, a definite experience!

You walk out wanting to be in the production!! Good job Dad and Pete... so Realistic!

Can you believe our little princess is two. It has been such a wonderful roller coaster of fun!! We decided to keep her birthday small due to so much happening this month, but when you combine the Kirby's and the Caballeros.. nothing is small!!

Logan had been singing Happy Birthday to her self all day. She had also been practicing her candle blowing, So you can imagine how upset she was when Ashton blew out one of her candles!

So we tried again this time Micah held Ashton back in case of any repeats!!

But in came Emma!

My 30th Back to School Party

What a wonderful night! Everyone put in so much effort with their dress up. We had science teacher, librarian, we even had a lolly pop man (Yayo!) Gaby came as the school nerd. We put a kick Me sign on his back he was very funny he even walked funny!!

The hall was set up so everyone had something to do. There was hand ball, skipping, table tennis school desks with work books and pencils, chalk boards, dancing and of course the biggest hit the Canteen! Thankyou so much to our Canteen ladies AKA- Mum, Yaya, Carina. who worked so hard feeding the masses. I hope you had fun telling them to keep in line and stop pushing in!

Angela and Wendy were the school captains and they just did a wonderful job, organising and decorating. We had cheerleaders perform So cute! (Some of my Primary Kids). They had an embarrassing slide show of my life... yes i do sing on it!.. You should have been at the party because I will never post it on the net! What can I say Wendy.. revenge is sweet!! (cue evil laugh) HAAHAHAAA!

Gaby and my dad recorded some family phone calls from overseas it was so special to hear their loving birthday wishes and love.

I'm so grateful for all who helped and participated to make this night so much fun! Next party 60th he he well maybe sooner! Hey I'm South American we can't help but party!!!

Little Miss Logan

Logan Angela was born 13 of July 2006 she comes across as extremely quiet but its the quiet ones you need to watch. From the moment she was mobile she was into things draws, DVDs bathroom you name it at she had left her mark there.

Logan has always been a very clever little girl too. At less than a year old she was able to hold a pencil in a perfect pincer grip, she has great problem solving skills and understands instructions better than some adults!

She loves to play on her own and makes up her own games. usually consisting of a dolly and a blanket or sheet or any other piece of clothing she can find. She is a little miss that's for sure she loves dressing up. She loves shoes like her Tia Angela.. boots are her favourite!

Her world revolves around Ashton she simply adores him! If she is given something she always gives it to her brother and asks for another. From a young age she looked out for Ashton and made sure he was treated equally. Although now she is realising she can blame things on him too. In the car the other day she did a fluffy.. Her Noni asked Lula was that you.. "No Ashi did it" Ashton was at school that day..

Logan also has a special relationship with her Daddy she always asks where he is and is the first for a cuddle. A really daddys girl! We love our children so much they give us so much joy everyday is an adventure that we look forward to embarking.

Ashton Our No.1

Ashton has always been such a joy in our lives. He is very Active and is always up to something.

He was born March 14th 2004 After a 12 hr labour. Which when i think back was a good labour, he did however have some complications he had fluid in his lungs and had to be in special care for the first few days of his life. This was very difficult for me as all I wanted was to have my little angel close.

Well my wish was granted Ashton has always been close to mummy. He always played around my feet or in which ever room I was working in. Logan now helps him break away and do his own thing but he is never to far from me! I must admit I love it!

Ashton has a great connection with his cousins Micah and Sebastian he calls them his Brothers. Cousins to him is a distant thing If he loves you then you are his Brother or sister! Nathaniel, Braith, CJ and Emma all fall into this category too! He has such a big heart and is always thinking of ways that he can see His 'Brothers' ... Although when they get together they can get pretty rough! Boys will be Boys!

Ashton Loves his sister so much. He is always teaching her something he truly leads and guides mostly for good! They have a really great relationship they make a good team!

How It began

Neil and I were married Oct 26th 2002 exactly one year and one day after he returned from his Brisbane mission. We were friends prior for about four years.

In March 02 Neil asked me on our first date... I had been sick all day but was not about to say no! (after all he was very good looking and what you call a bit of a catch really!) Our dating lasted about a month.

Things went really well really fast.. Neil proposed to me spontaneously at the temple one April night

So romantic... So special

We were married in the Sydney Australia Temple

We had five bridesmaids and groomsmen So it was lots of fun. Our reception was very big... I'm South American we don't do small! Quakers Hill chapel was transformed into a beautiful paradise. Following which we went to Fiji for our honeymoon. So nice So beautiful!!

We now have 2 children and one on the way....

Life is a roller coaster and I’m loving the ride!!

And as for the little cutey on the bottom left of the photo.. well that is Anael Fuente, who continues to be a little close friend of mine.
